DIMES SNAPBACK
Stacking dimes.
Dimes gets its name from one of the cleanest compliments in welding. A perfectly laid weld bead is often described as “stacking dimes” and that same look inspired the embroidery across the front of this hat.
The oversized Anenberg script is embroidered in a tonal tan thread against a natural crown, with dense, deliberate stitching that gives the lettering the raised, rhythmic texture of a clean weld bead. It’s a subtle reference if you know it and a badass piece of embroidery even if you don’t.
A black flat bill, black eyelets and black top button break up the natural crown and give the hat a clean two-tone construction. The left side carries a tonal embroidered Anenberg light bulb, tying the piece back to one of the brand’s original symbols without competing with the oversized front embroidery.
On the opposite side sits a limited Anenberg metal pin, adding another layer of detail to a hat designed to be looked at from every angle.
Dimes represents the side of Anenberg that has always been influenced by people who actually make things artists, fabricators, printers, builders and anyone who appreciates when craft becomes an art form.
